Book reading and signing with Ana Castillo
Wednesday, May 28, 7:00pm – 8:30pm

Ana Castillo’s reads from her latest novel, Give it to me, a smart and sexy tale of self-discovery, passion, and looking for love in all the wrong places. Palma Piedras, a forty-three-year-old fashionista, is the unholy heroine of this modern romance. Her encounters with various suitors include a butch lesbian restaurateur, Tommy Lee Jones’s stylist, and her hunky, younger, ex-con cousin. Palma fumbles through dating and obsession with refreshing vulnerability and wit.  Ana Castillo is one of the most powerful voices in Chicana literature. She is the author of So Far From God and Sapogonia, both New York Times Notable Books of the Year, as well as The Guardians, Peel My Love like an Onion, and many other books of fiction, poetry, and essays. She divides her time between Chicago and southern New Mexico. Free event.
