Join us for the commemoration of the Symbols of Resistance as we pay homage to the martyrs of the Chican@ Movement in Colorado. May 2014 will mark the 40th anniversary of the deaths of Los Seis de Boulder, six student and community activists who were killed in two separate car bombings in Boulder, Colorado. We must remember those who sacrificed their lives fighting for social justice, and continue the struggle. Our nine martyrs include Ricardo Falcón, Luis “Jr” Martinez, Carlos Zapata and Los Seis de Boulder (Una Jaakola, Francisco Doughtery, Florencio Granado, Neva Romero, Reyes Martinez and Heriberto Teran).
