Interesting how politicians jump on the bandwagon for Chicano studies but k-12 is not being address aggressively by implementing Chicano studies curriculums for all Chicano children.

    Hello,

I tried to find contact info on your website but I couldn’t.

In any case, there an issue going on at Los Angeles Mission College with a popular theatre professor (Professor Aviles) being denied tenure and scheduled to be fired by the end of the semester.

An activist student on campus has now been suspended for the rest of the semester and another community activist is no longer allowed to come on campus to express support.

Im curious if you would like to cover this story!

Please give me a call and I can fill you in. Thank you!

    Tazohtzin Edy.

During my college years in Eastlos and Carson, we supported several potential Chicano profesores to remain on campus. But, as soon as they squire tenure, they got comfortable and forgot about the Chicano community. Let us say, this professor has Cora for our Chicano community. Start organizing the Mecha on campus for s chicana/o department and the Chicano Mexicano community to support this cultural sovereign endeavor. Forget about the excuses the white supremacist institution of Mission College expresses, your demands must be greater then their diminutive compromises. We must instill in our psyche that we are not immigrants but migrants in our own ancestral lands.
